Description Technical Specs Ask a Question About This Product   For use with the AXIS 206, AXIS 207, AXIS 207W and AXIS 207 MW Network Cameras. Power over Ethernet (PoE) offers an easy, fast and cost-effective solution for supplying power to network video products without the need to install power outlets and electrical cabling. Simply connect the Axis PoE midspans and PoE splitters to the network, and the network video products are supplied with power. For a network video product without built-in PoE support, a PoE splitter must be used to separate power and data coming over the network cable. The PoE products enable network cameras and video encoders to be installed in areas where traditional power cabling and outlets are unavailable or difficult to install. Installations are made easier and costs are reduced. Please note that the AXIS 20x Network Cameras are not supported. The PoE AF Active Splitter is IEEE 802.3af compliant and can be used with the PoE Midspan or a PoE-enabled switch.
